MONTERREY - Najmanje je šesnaest ljudi poginulo, a trideset je ozlijeđeno u naletu teretnog vlaka na autobus na sjeveru Meksika u petak navečer, rekao je čelnik spasilačke službe.

Autobus nije poštovao signal na pružnom prijelazu i vlak ga je doslovno prepolovio, rekao je Jorge Camacho, direktor spasilačke službe u državi Nuevo Leon.

"Potvrdili smo smrt 16 ljudi i mislimo da ih ima još ispod autobusa, pa bi se broj žrtava mogao popeti na 20", rekao je Camacho.

Mjesni list piše da je u autobusu bilo šezdesetak putnika premda je imao 40 mjesta za sjedenje.
